A growing Class / October 2012
The production of the TEN in China is up and running. The class is growing fast and the order book is well filled.
China Cup / September 2012
During the China Cup 2012, which will be held from October 26 till October 29, the TEN will start as a one-design class. There will be at least ten TEN’s and the sailing teams are international, like an Australian team, a Japanese team, a few Chinese teams and a Dutch team.
Delivery Sanya / June 2012
The yard delivered a TEN in Shengzhen and the Chinese owner and Martin Hingst sailed the boat almost 450 miles from Shengzhen to Sanya.
Gaastra Sails / May 2012
Gaasta Sails sponsors a TEN for 2012. The next race for the Gaastra TEN will be 'the Schuttevaer Race'. Follow the race on: www.schuttevaerrace.nl.
50 Miles Double Handed
Martin Hingst proved during the 50 Miles Double that the TEN can also be sailed by a small crew of two sailors. Under heavy conditions, with windspeeds of 35 knots, the TEN sailed the fastest time in the class 30-35ft. Results, photos and a report can be found on www.50mijl.nl.
In April 2012, the yard, the designer Kees van de Stadt and the Sailmaker participated the Shanghai Boatshow. The TEN and the prototype of the DC15 were showed. There was a lot of interest of a new generation of enthousiastic chinese sailors and also from European and American companies.
China Cup 2011
Sailmaker Martin Hingst, sailed the China Cup with a chinese boat and a chinese crew. The event was sailed in Shengzhen, in the neighbourhood of Hong Kong. The TEN sailed in the IRC2 class, and won a lot of races. For 2012, the goal is to sail with multiple TEN's in her own class.
